Title

Creating a new blog is easy. But then choosing a name for it is something else. It's choosing a name for yourself which weren't handpicked by your parents. A name which is not just simply attractive for the other persons eyes. Something which doesn't just sound cool. A name which your readers would refer to you from now on. A name by you for you. It might sounds pretty selfish, but then at least you picked something which meant dear for you.

Sometimes when I first hear the nickname of someone or see it on a blog or some random anonymous chat room, I tend to wonder about it. Like a lot!

"Why the nickname [insert weird nickname here]?"

You sure do get a reasonable explanation from some people, yet get "just simply" or perhaps an "ain't it really cool?" replies from others. I believe it should be something which you can relate to yourself or at least to something dear to you. Mine being the latter.

Lately I've seen a lot of weird names people have chosen for themselves. As far as I'm concerned, it's usually something evil or deadly if it's a guy or something innocent or angelic if it's a girl. Dark Angel, Pink Princess, Sweet Bubblegum, Black Beauty, Dark Heart... hold it! Black Beauty and Dark Heart are cartoon names, right?

Now picking the name "Estranged", sounds like I'm titling myself a loner or being alienated, right? But I'm not. I have a perfect family I'm not trying to make myself sound like a desperate loner female trying to be recognized by crying out loud and choosing melodramatic nicknames. It's just that I like the word. There's a Guns N Roses song named Estranged which I tend to admire a lot too. Hint hint!
